Address: 1687 A St, Brawley, CA 92227, USA
Description: According to statecancerprofiles.cancer.gov the Imperial Valley's current skin cancer diagnosis is considered stable. Within the last year, only 13 people have been diagnosed with Melanoma of the skin (skin cancer). From personal experience, the valley's hot weather, along with the sun beating down on the residents, makes my skin feel dry and darker. Though sun screen is a precaution for skin cancer, it sometimes refuses to protect the user. In order for the victim to feel a bit of their pain lessen, there are at least four natural/ home remedies to help. Raspberry seed oil, myrrh oil, eggplant extract, and frankincense oil. According to Mayo Clinic, some of the symptoms of a sun burn are the following: flakiness, peeling, rashes, roughness, warmness, red spots, or redness. Many people of the valley have experienced these symptoms, and may be at risk of having skin cancer at some point of their lives. It is recommended to stay indoors from 10 A.M. to 4 P. M., but everyone has duties outside of their homes. Sun screen with SPF over 35, sunglasses, and hats should be worn at all times during the summer, because of the sun that is beating down on the people. The sun is very harsh on people with lighter skin, so they are at risk the most of skin cancer.

Tires and trash around canal
Status: Resolved
Date: Monday 27 March 2017 6:52 AM
Address: 4345 Loveland Rd, Brawley, CA 92227, USA
Description: While driving down the road I noticed a pile tires and other trash being left on the side of the canal (even inside as well). The tires have been there for a while as I could tell because they were full of dirt and mud. This is not good for the water in the canal nor the wildlife in or out of the canal. I found two areas that had tires but the one on the map had the most. After leaving the site with the tires along the road I saw a lot of dumping along the canal, I did not get a lot of pictures of the trash along the canal I did get one. I am reporting this in hope of the City of Brawley to send someone to clean up this canal.
