Location: 4345 Loveland Rd, Brawley, CA 92227, USA
Category: Solid Waste
Description:
While driving down the road I noticed a pile tires and other trash being left on the side of the canal (even inside as well). The tires have been there for a while as I could tell because they were full of dirt and mud. This is not good for the water in the canal nor the wildlife in or out of the canal. I found two areas that had tires but the one on the map had the most. After leaving the site with the tires along the road I saw a lot of dumping along the canal, I did not get a lot of pictures of the trash along the canal I did get one. I am reporting this in hope of the City of Brawley to send someone to clean up this canal.
Administrator Comment: 04/04/2017: The DTSC Imperial CUPA has forwarded this complaint to the IID. 04/14/2017: Response - The waste at the Trifolium Drain #3 looks like it comes from illegal dumping along Loveland Road. For the most part, it is made up of household type solid waste. The Trifolium is on the same schedule for cleaning as the Best Canal and the Stahl Drain. In the way of regulated waste the only thing found were the tires. The tires will be transported (nine at a time) to our Head Quarters Service Station in Imperial for proper disposal.
