Uncontrolled burn in neighboring community of West Moreland, the imperial county air pollution control district has been notified and is sending an inspector to check out the premises, however, based on the information given to me by the APD, there is no current authorized to burn in the community if you see, there is a big smoldering cloud And is affecting neighboring communities there is currently school in session at Westmoreland Union Elementary school

Field being sprayed about 5pm on Sunday February 18, 2024. A large cloud the entire north/south length of the field being sprayed traveled west towards IVC where dissipated. Vehicles traveling north and south drove into and through the cloud. What was being sprayed and why the drift? North-East corner of Hwy 111 & Aten Rd
Digging/construction on land

Description:
There has been digging on land in preparation for new structures that started in December 2023. The land has underground tanks that have not been removed. There are plans to construct a home and business. Not sure how this is possible, as the previous owner of property advised tenants that no building on the land was to be permitted due to contamination. There was a previous attempt to add duplexes on land in the 90's, but could not move forward due to tanks present in ground (waste, oil, and diesel).
