Description: Smoke coming from trash that has been slowly burning for several days. According to residents, Fire Department comes and put water in trash, but problem has not been eliminated. I was able to see smoke coming from the trash. Looks like trash is wood chips left by someone and they caught in fire. I was able to get this report from a resident in a local health fair. Mains Elementary School is no longer than a block away. I was able to notice kids playing at school and being exposed to the smell. There is also old furniture and kitchen appliances thrown in the empty lot. I was also able to notice that some families use the empty lot to cross from the school to their residence walking. Trash creates a fire hazard if left uncollected.

Description: Sharp glass smelly rotten food under clothing an on the side of the clothing also has been there for 1 month there's more glass around the area an also there is more rotten food in the area.***ADMIN: The DTSC Imperial CUPA has forwarded this complaint to Imperial County Environmental Health.

Description: There is a pile of tires on the side of the road and some others blocking part of the road. Also, I was able to see a lot of mosquitoes flying around them. *

Description: Many citizens of Colonia Solidaridad, Nuevo Mexicali have been illegally disposing various forms of solid waste into the open sewage drain around them. The waste being disposed of includes but is not limited to: tires, insoluble plastics, cardboard, cloths, styrofoam, motor oil, and various other items the citizens of this community and neighboring communities need disposing of. For over 2 decades the Mexican government has turned a blind eye to the growing number of illegal trash disposals , and has left nothing but broken promises in its path. As a result of the sheer size of waste that has accumulated in this sewage drain over the course of years, very little if any sewage has been able to pass through and regularly gets backed up for days on end. The stench produced as a result of this torments citizens miles away from the site. The non-degradable waste that has continually accumulated in this sewage drain will only continue to grow unless a change is made, and quickly.***ADMIN: Awaiting contact information at PROFEPA.

Description: This building was completely burned and it was supposedly put out since there was a lot of water surrounding it, but passing by there was still a notice smoke arising. Hours later when passing by again there was a wave of smoke going towards main street. ***ADMIN: The Brawley Fire Department is closely monitoring this property.

Description: On January 19, 2016 at 5:10 pm I drove to El Centro to revisit the site where there was a alley full of trash like tires, paper, carpets, shopping cart, and trash that was previously burned. It appears no action was made. The alley is behind Cilantros La Taqueria (643 S 4th St, El Centro, CA 92243). ***ADMIN: The DTSC Imperial CUPA has again forwarded this complaint to the City of El Centro. Update: All the trash was moved to the trash enclosure which is located at 643 South 4th Street. The City of El Centro will be contacting the building owner.

Description: E waste (many fluorescent tubes , solid waste, tires (12) dumped along the west main canal. **ADMIN: The DTSC Imperial CUPA and Imperial County Environmental Health will conduct an investigation.
