Illegal disposal of trash into open drain

Many citizens of Colonia Solidaridad, Nuevo Mexicali have been illegally disposing various forms of solid waste into the open sewage drain around them. The waste being disposed of includes but is not limited to: tires, insoluble plastics, cardboard, cloths, styrofoam, motor oil, and various other items the citizens of this community and neighboring communities need disposing of. For over 2 decades the Mexican government has turned a blind eye to the growing number of illegal trash disposals , and has left nothing but broken promises in its path. As a result of the sheer size of waste that has accumulated in this sewage drain over the course of years, very little if any sewage has been able to pass through and regularly gets backed up for days on end. The stench produced as a result of this torments citizens miles away from the site. The non-degradable waste that has continually accumulated in this sewage drain will only continue to grow unless a change is made, and quickly.***ADMIN: Awaiting contact information at PROFEPA.
