Description: Residents of Sunbird Mobilehome Park received notice in June that the water from their taps AND that coming from the filtration system on site was contaminated with impermissible levels of E. coli. Residents were issued a "boil order" notifying them they should boil even the filtered water before it would be safe to consume. Mark Abbot of Riverside County Environmental Health confirmed the problem was resolved within approximately 2 weeks of the identification of the contamination.

Description: Residents of mobilehome parks in the Avenue 62 corridor report having identified a small waste recycling facility located at the corner of Jackson St. and Avenue 62. I confirmed the existence of the facility, which consisted of many piles of substances that looked like dirt as well as several machines like backhoes and tractors that apparently worked the substances. Workers on the site further report unsafe working conditions, which were reported anonymously to OSHA.

Description: Power going in and out, blackout and brownout conditions. Outage lasted from July 7-9, 2011. Rectified by attorney demands to owner; tenants' union letter to owners; and with assistance of IID.

If you drive along this road, you can see a lot of open fields, sometimes you can see burning, sometimes it is plowing, sometimes it is spraying. When we have the gusty winds, the dust hits us really bad because of the open fields, we have no protection.

Description: About 1/2 mile south of the intersection of Keystone Rd & Dogwood Rd there are two(2) vehicle salvage yards. One appears abandoned & the other appears filled beyond capacity as there appears to be overflow of vehicles on the adjacent properties. Besides the abandoned site being an eye sore, there are other issues such as non permitted areas and the potential for spill of hazardous materials from vehicles due to the overflow.

Description: It was very difficult to breathe. My family had to restrain from playing sports, we couldn't go for a walk. We ended up going to Laguna Montain because the air was so bad. On Saturday, the pictures were taken from Austin Rd, El Centro.
On Sunday, the pictures were taken from Hwy 8 in the Ocotillo area.
From the freeway, when the air is not that bad, you can see plaster city; this day, it was almost impossible to see it, plaster city is about a mile from Fwy 8.

Description: Since July 6th (yesterday), electricity has been fluctuating in the Hernandez Mobile Home Park. This is not only a risk to the AC and other appliances in the homes, but a health risk also for the senior citizens, pregnant women, and children that reside there. A year ago, nine homes went without electricity for four weeks, in August. The symptoms were the same they are suffering right now, and the answer was the same they got today: don’t want the electricity to go? Then don’t turn on any AC or the system will overcharge and fail…

Description: I was driving north on dogwood road, a quarter mile from aten road when I came up on a curtain of dust thick enough to obscure visibility of traffic on both directions. the time was approx 7:15 pm. Winds from the west dragged the heavy dust on to the road as a tractor dragged heavy tilling equipment.

Description: Smelled a noxious order in Mecca by Western Envirnomental. Smelled like an "outhouse".
