Spreckles is a sugar beat company located right outside of Brawley, CA. It provides a vast amount of sugar for various companies like Coca-Cola and Hershey's. As much as it helps the Imperial Valley residents with jobs and an abundance of sugar. It also releases tens of thousands of pounds of ammonia into the air and ground polluting the Imperial Valley air and soil.
