One of the Most Polluted Rivers in America: The New River

The area in which I found the New River and the garbage surrounding it is right next to Del Rio Country Club and on highway 111 . This area is very disgusting with tons of garbage like mattresses, tires and wastes just thrown here. People think of this area as a dumping ground and don't care that it's hurting the environment. In the New River, there is pesticides and raw sewage. The smell is horrific. This river has no natural water source, only irrigation drainage and industrial waste. This river is famous for its pollution and was once considered the most polluted river in America. There is a bunch of foam in the river and you can barely even see. It is not healthy or safe for immigrants going across the river. Residents have even revealed skin rashes, nausea, dizziness and many other medical problems due to the toxic river.
