Fire At Recyling Facility June 20 2016 , place was a facility that stored various types of hazardous materials, including tires, paint , chemicals, automotive. It was already a bad air quality day, it is close to a sensitive group already struggling to breathe clean air. the fire was blazing for a few hours and black smoke emitting to community. ADMIN: This was a fire at GP Recycling Center. The DTSC Imperial CUPA took samples and will continue to work with the Calexico Fire Department to determine if hazardous waste is present.
