Description:
Grass bales burning. Seems there is no effort to turn off. Being monitored by fire department. Why not turn it off? Is this practice to burn off the waste? How about the people's health. Admin: DTSC Imperial CUPA has forwarded this to APCD who then told us that it was an emergency response (falling under Fire Department Jurisdiction). The reason for letting it burn instead of putting out the fire has to do with the amount of water needed according to APCD.
