The Alamo River runs through the city of Holtville and it seems that it gets dumped on through all the parts of the river. It is sad to say you cannot go fishing unless what you are trying to catch consists of items from a list such as: tires, chair, trash; pretty much junk. Sometimes they don't dump in the river but on the banks; it does not make a difference the items eventually end up in the river. The water is contaminated in some parts of the river or if not all parts of the river that run through Holtville. One specific location is Hartshorn Rd and Alamo River and they are more.
